Costing Allocations for Cost Center Managers

Next week we begin a series of webinars pertaining to the Workday rollout. In addition to the general topics covered, Corporate Accounting will host two “Costing Allocations” webinars for Cost Center/Department Managers who will have the responsibility of maintaining and changing allocations for their respective team members.

You have been selected as one of the managers who will have the responsibility to initiate allocation changes for your Cost Center/Department and therefore your attendance in one of the webinars is required.

In the past, it was the responsibility of the team member’s direct manager to initiate an allocation change. However, because we’ve had issues pertaining to the proper alignment of allocations according to an individual’s actual time spent in a respective department, we’ve taken the opportunity to elevate the accountability of this process. Cost Center leaders will initiate and approve the costing allocation change. We are confident this will alleviate the problems we’ve historically encountered.
